Vertical Markets. We are aligning our organization by these broad industry groups: Financial Services; Healthcare; Manufacturing, (including Aerospace & Defense); Public Sector; Chemical, Energy & Natural Resources; and Technology/Consumer.

Global Presence. We are continuing our commitment to our World Sourcing global delivery model.

India Direct.
We have launched an India Direct sales channel to address our customers’ needs for pure Indian-based services.

North American Public Sector. We will build on our established market position by enhancing core offerings and by investing in selected higher growth areas.

We are also investing to win a higher share of mid-size deals (contract values between US$50 and $350M). CSC has launched a dedicated sales team and we are enhancing our delivery capabilities to address this large and growing market. To serve both large and mid-size deal clients effectively, we will continue to invest in and expand our offering of outsourcing solutions.


We have accomplished these milestones:
  • A mid-size sales and marketing team is in place to provide outsourcing services to our mid-size customers.
  • Our outsourcing solutions portfolio has been expanded to include a differentiated and configurable set of core mid-size services.
  • Specialists in serving mid-size customers are joining our world class outsourcing organization.
  • For all our customers we have expanded our portfolio to include a mix of custom and configurable services that best suits their specific business needs.
  • A Global Outsourcing Services Group and management team has been established to serve our customers around the world with consistent, reliable and business results-focused services.

This initiative is focused on aggressively growing and leveraging our capabilities in India. We have launched an India Direct sales channel to address our customers’ needs for pure Indian-based services and to compete directly against low-cost, offshore IT providers.

Since 1996 CSC India has been delivering reliable offshore IT services for many of our global customers. Our business in India has steadily grown as our customers’ needs expanded. We will continue to make investments to strengthen our delivery capabilities for remote infrastructure management, applications services, and business process offerings.

  • To emphasize our commitment we acquired Covansys. With this acquisition, CSC now has more than 14,000 employees in India, and India is our second largest country of employment.


CSC India Direct builds on our experience at structuring complex applications, infrastructure or process services in large-scale and mature environments — a capability that is unique to a multi-national, established provider. With India Direct we can deliver those unbundled services — that our customers have relied upon for years — directly from India as discrete projects.
